Welcome to the home page of Elemental Alchemy - Mercurian Productions, an arm of Stonebraker Film Productions. Please visit us often as we will be updating public readings, shooting schedules, and events in the blog periodically. Most importantly, this is a cottage industry so your support is welcomed and highly valued. If you want to support a film and get swag or would like to learn about becoming an Executive Producer please visit our Support Independent Film page. Decimation - Official Selection Seattle International Film Festival, 2013

It has officially been announced  Decimation has been chosen as an official selection for the 2013 Seattle International Film Festival.  It will be closing out Shorts Week at the Fest on May 27 at 6:30. Tickets are on sale at SIFF and may sell out quickly as the shorts venues are very popular.

A Jackson Hall Film, in 1942, ten Russian soldiers who have been accused of cowardice on the Eastern Front and are being temporarily imprisoned. A Red Army General decides to utilize the ancient Roman punishment of decimation where  one soldier is drawn at random and the other nine 9 serve as his executioner. Brilliant engineer E. Elmer Erstwhile is retired and with too much time on his hands he's been collecting oddities and artifacts from various disreputable websites, much to his visiting niece Bri's chagrin. Uncle Elmer's latest acquisition turns out to be more than what he bargained for. (Short, Comedy)

Humanity has slowly emigrated from Earth, decades of travel between planets, and consequently humans are on the threshold of a new step in evolution. On Argos, a planet shared by the only other known living sentient life and among the ruins of a lost civilization, the human Argonians and the feline Nevians share an uneasy peace while humanity is plagued by a deadly virus. Psionic Specialist Elwha Rilke hold the key to a cure where it is locked in her comatose mind. (Sci Fi, Drama, Short, possible extension to full length, serial, or novelization.)

Adaptation of the Neil Gaiman short story. An elderly woman purchases the Grail Cup in a thrift store, only to have it pursued by a Knight of the Round Table.

Status: Clearing festival rights with Neil Gaiman and the Weinstein Company.  Ready for immediate preproduction if rights are obtained.

When Kristy returns from a business trip her illustrator husband, Kyle, tells her of a horrible experience  in his sleep.  Kristy believes Kyle is suffering panic attacks or is becoming delusional. More incidents occur to Kristy's disbelief until she is forced to confront the truth for herself. Is she the source of his madness or is the madness her own? Currently on entry to several festivals on the circuit. (Short, Thriller,  Mystery, Horror)

This short film captures hundreds of local Seattlites dancing Michael Jackson's Thriller. Dressed as zombies and with weeks of practice they set to create a new world record for the largest number of people participating in a simultaneous dance. A record held at the time by Canadian children dancing the hokey pokey. Thousands of participants performed in many cities in ten countries... did they succeed? Exhibited on Halloween evening in Seattle at the Thriller 25th Anniversary event held at Northwest Film Forum and featured in the Bumbershoot One Reel Film Festival in 2010.(Documentary)

About the Filmmaker

An alum of Seattle's the Film School, Damian Stonebraker implements the principles of instructors Stewart Stern, Tom Skerritt, and John Jacobson and utilizes the mythic structure of Joseph Campbell in his films.  As a past participant in Freehold Studio, Damian has staged detailed scenes with local Seattle actors such as Andy Tribolini and Marie Lazarro.  Writing, directing, and producing films under Elemental Alchemy - Mercurian Productions, he has partnered with other Seattle filmmakers as Remote Viewing Appartus, Remote Viewing Apparatus 2.0, and Lannes Productions. Damian Stonebraker is a member of Seattle Area Filmmakers (SAF). Additional profile information may be found on LinkedIn.

Damian is married to Irish import Tracy Doherty. While not writing or in film production Damian is chasing down his two                                                                       sons Tristan and Aiden.
